What I loved most about the program was the staff’s responsiveness to each child. They responded to my younger child who is shy and anxious by giving him all the space he needed. They worked with each child individually and also communicated with the parents openly.

Talented Team Members

Since the success of the programs depends upon the people who run them, CCCI is committed to hiring only the most qualified and talented staff members.

A Team That’s Second to None

CCCI employs a rigorous recruiting procedure looking for responsible professionals with experience in caring for children, as well as a passion for teaching.

In addition to a resume, potential candidates are interviewed and all references are thoroughly checked. After the candidates have demonstrated their desire and ability to work with children, CCCI runs criminal background checks - according to their state regulations.

Once hired, CCCI team members receive a Teacher’s Handbook and undergo extensive training, focusing on:

  • Arrival/Departure procedures
  • Safety procedures
  • Parent/Child Communication
  • Program Scheduling
  • Behavior Management
  • Activities/Curriculum

More than 90% of CCCI’s team has a professional background in education or a related field. The CCCI team consists of teachers, substitutes and student teachers who are employed in public and private schools, preschools, after-school programs and YMCA affiliated programs. Some team members have a degree with a particular focus, such as Special Education. When a child with special needs is registered for a program, CCCI will work with the family and make every effort to accommodate their child.

CCCI recruits team members that are CPR and First Aid Certified. To ensure that team members’ certificates are up-to-date, CCCI offers training and renewal opportunities.
